Control your video window

Press Apple TV App/Home on your Siri remote to show the Picture in Picture options menu. Use the Touch surface to swipe between options.


Select Full-screen to move your video window back to its full size.


Click Close if you're finished watching your video.


Highlight Move, then click the Touch surface until the video window is in the corner that you want.

Press Play/Pause on your Siri remote to start or stop playing content in your video window while you're in the Picture in Picture options menu.

When you're done making changes to the video window, press Menu on your Siri remote to continue watching in Picture in Picture mode.

Taking screenshot on the new Apple TV isn’t that simple. Well, it is at least possible to take one because the earlier version of Apple TV did not even support that. Apple TV 3 did not have any function to take a screenshot.

Thanks to Apple, the latest Apple TV 4 supports taking screenshots. As said earlier, it is not that straight forward to take a screenshot on Apple TV 4. You’ll need a Mac and a USB type-C to USB type-A cable. There are two different ways to take a screenshot on Apple TV4: By using Xcode and without using Xcode. Let’s check out both ways.

How to Take Screenshot on Apple TV Using Xcode

Step #1. First and foremost step is to install Xcode on your Mac.

Step #2. Connect your Apple TV to television.

Step #3. Now connect your Mac to Apple TV using USB type-C to USB type-A cable.

Step #4. Open Xcode Open source os x software. on your Mac.

Step #5. On Xcode, click on the Windows menu.

Step #6. Now click on Devices, and select Apple TV from the list of devices.

Step #7. Now click on Take Screenshot.

Voila! The screenshot you just took will be saved on your Mac in desktop folder. By default, the resolution of your screenshot will be 1920×1080; regardless of the resolution you have set on your display.

How to Take Screenshot on Apple TV Without Xcode
